Please, no one hate me…

Ok, so I’ve noticed something on DA that’s really starting to get to me, and I think I might be the only one. And I don’t want to upset anyone, but I just might so sorry in advanced, and maybe it’s just because I don’t feel good that I’m writing this, but nonetheless… people are abusing DA. Ok, I know some people are going to be slightly confused, so allow me to explain.

I believe the point of DA, and other art communities, is to explore the realm of art in a way that helps you learn and grow from the pieces you’ve created. The pictures, paintings and poems that you’ve worked on, and actually put effort into. I think that posting something in your gallery that you know needs work is understandable, and encouraged, but I think people don’t know where to draw the line, and I have to say… it’s become annoying.

Maybe I’m the only one it frustrates, and if so, then I’m really sorry to those I may offend, but I think that to bombard the site with, say, thirty pictures of your pink shoe, all of which are from the same angle and lighting, not to mention you even write in the description that you dislike the picture, is a bit much, no? I don’t understand, if what you’re posting isn’t even up to your own standards of passable work, then why are you posting it?

Please, get a photo-bucket account and bombard that with images of your cat playing on a cluttered desk, not your page. I love opening the deviations I get and see the hard work people put into it, not the pictures that border spam that have been put up just for the sake of having posted something. XD

Like I said, if this annoys anyone, or if anyone takes offence to what I’ve written, please leave me a comment. I’m seriously interested to see what everyone else thinks.
